A goldsmith at Münsterhof 14 in the city centre, working since 1984. Engagement and wedding rings are designed and made in their own atelier by trained goldsmiths, and they only use recycling gold rather than newly mined metal. Diamonds from 0.3 carat come with GIA certification, and the workshop trains its own apprentices.

A small goldsmith run by brothers Edwin and Robert Pérez on Usteristrasse near Löwenplatz, making engagement and wedding rings in their own workshop since 2005. You work out the design with them first, then they forge it. The gold is Oekogold, recycled from old jewellery rather than newly mined.

A goldsmith atelier tucked into In Gassen, a medieval lane near Paradeplatz, with a second workshop in Wetzikon. Goldsmith master Alexandra Frei and designer Matthias Frei make engagement rings, wedding rings, and signet rings as one-off pieces by hand. They also take in old gold and rework it into something new.

Claudia Stebler trained as a goldsmith in Basel and studied design in Pforzheim, and since 2007 she has made and sold her own jewellery from a studio on Martastrasse in Kreis 4. She makes engagement and wedding rings to order, working in fair-trade gold from Peru via Max Havelaar alongside recycled gold and conflict-free diamonds. Her coloured stones come from a family business in Madagascar.

A Zurich jewellery workshop where you make your own wedding or engagement band rather than ordering one. Over a four-hour session you shape the ring by hand with guidance, choosing between 18K yellow, rose, or white gold or platinum, with stones an option. The finished ring is ready about eight weeks later.

Master goldsmith Claudio Tessa and his team have made jewellery by hand in Lachen on Lake Zurich since 2001. They make engagement and wedding rings to order, working beyond the usual metals into carbon, tantalum, and Damascus steel. Stones run from white diamonds to champagne and pink ones, Paraiba tourmalines, and opals.

Seraina Sonderegger has run this goldsmith atelier on Rindermarkt in the old town since 1991, working only with Fairtrade materials. Every piece is made in small batches in her workshop, taken from sketch to finished ring by hand. She makes wedding and engagement rings in gold of all colours, platinum, and silver.

A goldsmith workshop on Münstergasse in the Niederdorf, the old town lane district, where Armin and Barbara Spillmann and Marc Derron make wedding and engagement rings by hand. They take on custom pieces, alterations, and repairs, all done on-site. Their workshop is set up to turn a sketch into a finished ring.

Alongside the precious metals they also work carbon, steel, and titanium for couples who want something less conventional.
