This Bern auction house on Monbijoustrasse has run sales since 1959 and holds two big auctions a year, in early May and November, with jewellery among the specialties and roughly 4,000 lots offered live and online. It's an easy train hop from Zurich and a good spot to find period rings outside the bigger city houses. Bidding works in the room or over the internet, so you don't have to travel to take part.
