Marco Bicego

Marco Bicego, the brand’s founder and creative director, works in 18 carat gold from an Italian atelier, and the house is defined by hand engraving. Using the bulino, an old engraving tool, artisans give the gold a fine, brushed, almost silk finish. A single piece in the Africa collection can take more than 500 precise hand movements, so each one keeps small irregularities you won’t find in machine-made gold.

Signature collections include Lunaria, with its hand-engraved leaf shapes, alongside Africa, Jaipur, Goa and Siviglia, and diamonds are often set into the worked gold. It suits someone drawn to warm, handcrafted gold rather than a bright white setting.
