cloud8 Claudia Stebler

Claudia Stebler completed a four-year goldsmith apprenticeship in Basel and then studied design for five years at the Fachhochschule Pforzheim in Germany. She started her cloud8 label in 2007 and works from her own goldsmithery at Martastrasse 109 in Kreis 4, where she makes engagement rings, wedding rings, and other jewellery to order. She is happy to share that experience directly when couples visit the studio.

Her materials reflect a focus on sourcing: Fairtrade gold from Peru carrying the Max Havelaar mark, recycled gold and silver processed in Germany, and conflict-free diamonds. Coloured stones come from Miadana, a family business in Madagascar. She also reworks inherited and old jewellery into new pieces, and custom orders need a lead time of at least two weeks.
