Christophe Walser has run Vintage Diamonds in Zurich since 2000, with a hand-selected collection of antique jewellery alongside contemporary creations and high-end watches. The period side takes in Art Deco work and signed pieces from houses such as Cartier, Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels, set next to modern designs so you can compare an old stone against today’s options in one place.
Walser is a Graduate Gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America, which matters when you are judging the cut and condition of an older diamond. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday and by appointment, and the website runs in English and German.
