Niessing
Storchengasse 21, Zurich
Touchez une étoile pour noter
Niessing runs its own store in Zurich at Storchengasse 21, in a building that dates back to the 13th century, open Monday to Saturday. The workshop itself traces back to 1873, when Hermann Niessing founded it in Vreden, Germany, where the brand still manufactures today and combines traditional goldsmithing with modern processes.
The house is best known for the Niessing Spannring, a tension ring in which the diamond is held by the spring tension of the band alone, so it appears to hover with no visible claws or surround. Wedding rings can be finished in a range of Niessing colours, and the bridal range includes the Amatis line. The website runs in English and German.
