Beyer Watches & Jewellery
Touchez une étoile pour noter
Beyer sits at Bahnhofstrasse 31 and splits its floor between watches and jewellery. The jewellery side runs an in-house atelier where goldsmiths design and make pieces, redesign older jewellery, and take on commissions, so a ring can be ordered ready-made or built to a couple’s brief. Alongside its own lines, including the Ornamenta and Ornamentina collections, the Excellence range, Beyer Men, and a Swiss rock-crystal series, the shop carries jewellery names such as Wellendorff, IsabelleFa and Yana Nesper. Diamonds, South Sea pearls and coloured stones all feature in the cases.
The watch business is the older half of the house and the reason Beyer is often described as one of the longest-running watch shops anywhere, trading since 1760. There is also a watch museum in the basement covering timekeeping from antiquity onward. Staff serve in German, English and Chinese, and visits to the jewellery atelier are best arranged by appointment.
