Laurence Graff started the house in London in 1960, and its bridal rings are shaped around the stones the firm is known for. The house says its engagement settings take their cue from the notable gems that have passed through Graff, each one crafted by the same artisans who handle its larger jewels.

Two named lines anchor the range. Promise is a three-stone design where the side stones, cut in different shapes, are matched to the centre diamond by a member of the Graff family. Constellation frames the centre stone with a single or double halo and is named after the 102 carat Graff Constellation, a round D Flawless diamond. The Zurich boutique is at Bahnhofstrasse 16, and this is a sensible stop if the centre stone is the main concern.
