Unique Eden is a Swiss sustainable jewelry brand headquartered in canton Fribourg, selling engagement rings, wedding bands and other fine jewelry directly from its own site rather than through a marketplace. The company began life as a takeover of a much older family jewelry business: founders Emily and Dung write on their own site that "our journey started in 2016 when we took over the family-run jewelry business based in Switzerland," and a profile from the Canton Fribourg government fills in the rest of the picture, naming that older shop as La Marquise, "ein Familienunternehmen, das 1973 in Bulle gegründet wurde" (a family business founded in 1973 in Bulle). The same profile quotes the pair saying "2020 haben wir auch die Unique Eden Eco Jewelry lanciert" (in 2020 we also launched the Unique Eden Eco Jewelry brand), so Unique Eden itself is the newer, sustainability-focused arm of an older Fribourg jeweler, not a brand-new venture with no history behind it.

The empty Engagement Rings navigation category is a minor and fixable rough edge on an otherwise clear and honest storefront, not a reason to skip a seller that tells you exactly what you're paying and exactly what happens if you need to send it back.
