Meister 1881 has built coloured gemstones into its identity rather than treating them as a side offering. The house’s gemmologists travel to source stones at origin, and the collection reflects this: rubies, sapphires in multiple colours, and emeralds appear regularly in the cases at Bahnhofstrasse 33. The award record, seven Diamond International Award wins and membership of the Diamond International Academy since 1968, comes from pieces where the stone is the centrepiece rather than an afterthought.
A bespoke commission here can start with a stone already sourced or with a brief the team uses to find options. The goldsmith atelier is in-house, which keeps the process under one roof from stone to finished ring.
