Piaget

Piaget began in 1874 in the Jura village of La Cote-aux-Fees, where Georges-Edouard Piaget made very fine watch movements before the house became a jeweller. The house ties the green it uses across its identity to the colour of that village.

Its best-known ring is the Possession, launched in 1990 around a simple idea from Yves G. Piaget of a ring within a ring, with an outer band that turns freely. The Possession setting also appears on the engagement side, holding the centre diamond between two engraved gold brackets so the stone stands clear. Piaget says it has been designing women’s diamond engagement rings for more than half a century. The Zurich boutique is at Bahnhofstrasse 38.
